Irene Moretti is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology of Leiden University. Her research examines the morality of car liability insurance in public discourses and everyday life in Italy. This project is part of the ERC funded project Moralising Misfortune: A Comparative Anthropology of Commercial Insurance.
Irene previously worked as a Junior Research manager for a research institute in Milan (Italy). She holds a MA in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology (Leiden University) and a MA in Applied Social Science (Catholic University of Milan).
