Tim van de Meerendonk is a PhD researcher at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology of Leiden University. His research examines moralities of weather and life insurance in Maharashtra state, India. This project is part of the ERC funded project Moralising misfortune: A comparative anthropology of commercial insurance.
Tim previously worked as a Asylum Determination Officer for the IND. He completed his research master in Cultural Anthropology in 2015 (cum laude, Utrecht University).
